RRYL FALL LEAGUE

Registration is open for our fall in-house league which will run 9/7/14 - 10/26/14, $125.  Please visit www.roundrockyouthlacrosse.com to register.  League will be on Sunday afternoons with skills and drills for an hour, followed by a game. Location/time still TBD.  Interest level is good, we will likely  have enough registrants to field teams at all levels – 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8.

ELITE FALL TOURNAMENT TEAM

RRYL will be joining efforts with Town & Country this fall to run tryouts for our 5/6 and 7/8 athletes which will ultimately combine the best players from all of the Round Rock ISD feeder programs (Cedar Ridge, Round Rock, Westwood and McNeil).  This team will have top tier coaching and will participate in several tournaments through fall/winter.  Details forthcoming.

LACROSSE 101

RRYL is hosting a one night event for parents & players, August 19 for $10.  This will be a comprehensive course on all things lacrosse to help parents better understand the game and rules.  Separate session being held for players and presented at youth level.  This is open to parents of players at any age and level.  You will take something away from this regardless of how long you’ve been a part of the lacrosse community.  Register at our website www.roundrockyouthlacrosse.com

RECRUITING COMMITTEE

We are working really hard at growing our League and getting more athletes on the lacrosse field.  If you can devote some time to helping, we’d love your participation.  First meeting is July  23.  Please RSVP at Sign up Genius.  http://bit.ly/1smjoa8   If you can’t attend but want to help, please email Marcy Dickson at the League email.

SPONSORSHIP COMMITMENTS

If you own a business or are affiliated with a business that might consider providing sponsorship funds to RRYL, please reach out for details on sponsorship levels and how to do so.  This will allow the League to provide a better experience in so many aspects without passing those costs along to our families.  We are also seeking a copy/print resource sponsorship.

LOOKING FORWARD TO SPRING SEASON

We have some great things planned as we head into our 2015 Spring Season.  We are hoping to have more athletes join us this season, resulting in more teams which will allow players to be matched with those  at comparable skill levels, better coaching models, and more competitive play for those who are ready and better development for those new to the game.

There’s a lot of exciting things happening, we’re happy to have each of you with us! Spread the word, let’s get more boys playing lacrosse!

A FEW HOUSEKEEPING ISSUES FROM LAST SEASON

If you have a jersey or any on loan equipment, please reach out via the League email so we can arrange for return of those items.  Additionally, if you missed your end of season celebration, let us know so we can plan to get your trophy/award to you.
